Can A Loved One Be Your Guardian Angel?

As the saying goes, Angels have not been people before and people cannot be Angels. While your deceased Loved One is crossed over and living in the realm of the Divine Light alongside the angels - they are not Angels.
Rule: Angels are a distinct group of Spiritual Beings who have not been people before.
Just with any rule, there is always an exception to a rule.
There is nothing that is completely black and white. Everything is filled with space where rules do not and cannot apply. While rules are present to provide a general concept which can apply to the majority, they aren’t applicable in all cases.
Such is the case with the rule: Angels have never been people before.
This is an imperfect theorem - there are circumstances where Angels are born onto Earth in physical body, and likewise, there are circumstances where people and animals who crossover can become Angels once on The Other Side.

Why Do Some People Become Angels?
The overarching role of any Angel is to provide compassionate loving, unbiased support, guidance and protection. Also, joy. Angels often bring feelings of uplift and joy - wherever it is that they go.
Is your Loved One someone who was known to bring joy? Provide protection? Always a giver of loving guidance?
It could be that they were always an Angel, or that they have ascended to act as an Angel in their role on The Other Side.
You see, when people die, they don’t just die and stop doing things all together. They often take jobs, assign themselves to tasks and missions.
These jobs vary and depend on the personality type and role on earth that each person had - but sometimes, those jobs are to provide Divine watchfulness and guidance over those who need it most.
A few reasons why a loved one would immediately ascend to angelic
If you are a parent and lost your child early on, it is likely your child has now ascended to an Angel to provide you joy and feelings that fill and uplift your heart (just as they always had).
If your Loved One was in a difficult space in life, it’s unlikely they are being punished. It’s more likely they have now been assigned the role of Angel to watch over and protect others in their same shoes, and in some cases, convince them to walk another path.
If your Loved One was already a very angelic person, and seemed to walk on air, it’s likely they may have always been an Angel (within a human body) or they have ascended to such in the Afterlife.
If your Loved One was very loyal to Angels, in a way that involved the reverence of Angels while alive, it is likely that they have joined the Angelic ranks on The Other Side.
There are just a few exceptions to the rule. In readings, these are the scenarios that have been described at least once by a Loved One who has come through as an Angel - glowing, aloft and larger than life, but otherwise, holding all other characteristics that made them - them.
While rare, it’s possible.
Thus, if you suspect that your Loved One was or is an Angel now or on The Other Side - it’s likely they are.
