On The Map: How Do Spirits Find Their Mediums?

A few years ago, I did a reading for someone, and this question was asked by a client of mine, to her Spirit Guide,

“How do these Spirits find and know about me, anyway? How do they know I can deliver their messages, even if I don’t know it?”

This person’s Spirit Guide then showed an image of what looked to be a map of the United States nighttime sky.

After that first reading, this ‘nighttime sky’ mediumship map has since come up in at least 10 other private sessions. Due to its commonality of discussion in The Spirit World, it was finally time for a blog post on the medium’s map.

The Map of Mediums

This Spirit Guide proceeded to say that all mediums; all individuals who are without a barrier for Spirit communication, whether they are aware of it or not, appear on this map, as a little light-up dot.

Then, all Spirits have access to this map.

Your Guides, Angels, and Loved Ones have access to this map and all the Spirit Guides, Angels, and Loved Ones have access to this map.

Those in Spirit who have a message to deliver will then consult this map.

They will look for the closest connections between their person of interest and their nearest medium, both in the physical world and through social threads.

The Spirit who wants to make the connection will then do the work at creating a physical relationship between medium and message recipient in any and all ways possible. They will even encourage a person to make an appointment with the desired medium.

The general rule of thumb for mediumship is that we mediums don’t choose who gets to come through us, but rather it is the Spirit that chooses their medium, by consulting the map.

Mediums are chosen by each potential Spirit based on

  • Proximity to the message recipient

  • How much the Spirit resonates with the medium as a person

  • The accessibility of you as a medium to their desired message recipient

So if you are being bothered by Spirits in your off-time, it’s likely you’ve been placed and identified as one of the lights on the map.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to get off this map - your soul has been there since birth.

But there is a way to take advantage of your space on the map.

Think of yourself as an airport. Flights and passengers are leaving from your airport whether you like it or not. You can make the ease of transport better for yourself, pilots and all passengers.

You can limit the types and ways Spirit comes by

  • Setting up rules for your terminal (setting boundaries with Spirit)

  • Deciding which types of airlines you’ll host (deciding which kinds of Spirits you’ll deliver messages for)

  • Deciding when flight arrivals and departures (deciding when you will and will not communicate with and deliver messages for Spirit).

  • Figuring out when the terminal is open and closed for business (setting times when you can be visited)

  • Learning the airfield lingo/jargon (developing your abilities and learning to communicate)

All of this means that you can set and decide your boundaries on when Spirits visit you and most of the time, this can be done by talking to them.

Welcome to the map, and I am happy to see you here as our flights cross paths.
