Do you sense Spirits when they’re around?

Can you see those in Spirit in your dreams, out of your peripheral vision with your eyes closed, or in everyday life?

In the spiritual world, mediums and sensitives are like beacons of light.

Little light towers, scattered about the earth, portals of energy that loved ones, guides and angels can use to communicate with their loved ones still on the earth plane.

Whether you are actively using your abilities or not, you’re a light tower on this giant medium map. You're a portal. Moreover, this doorway is available to everyone on the Other Side, as a store directory in the center of mall food court.

This map, by the way, looks like a map of the nighttime sky. There are lights all over, pin-pricks of high light energy scattered here, there and everywhere.

If you can sense spirit or pick up on them, you are one of these pinned spots on the map.

Spirits have many reasons for why they may be coming to you, and regardless of their purpose, by this point in your life, a small crowd of spirits may have gathered around you like it did for me, before I started setting boundaries, and now everyone wants a chance to connect.

This situation can get overwhelming and a Gatekeeper Guide can help.

You can call guides anything, but there is typically a sound that you can use to identify their energy from other spirits, and this is often referred to as the name.

You too can request a Gatekeeper Guide to step forward. We all have one. Their job is to keep us safe and clear, decide which spirits can connect with us and which ones cannot - providing us with the ultimate psychic protection.

1. First, get into a gentle, meditative state

No need to go into a deep trance here, just place both feet on the floor, sit down in a chair with a straight back and place both hands, palm up on your lap. Close your eyes. Take some deep breaths. Imagine energy flowing from your feet into the ground and swirling back up into your body.

2. Ask for a name of your Gatekeeper Guide

Ask within, inside your mind. You can often trust the very first thing that pops into your head. It doesn’t have to be an exotic or rare name - it could be Bob, Mark, Julie or Sarah.

The first name, when you ask that pops in, is the name of your guide. If you don’t get one right away in meditation, don’t worry. You’ll usually get a name in the same way that you ask.

3. Then ask for a Gatekeeper Guide to step forward so you can see them

Seeing spirits is a lot like seeing it in your imagination. It’s called clairvoyance, and many people think it’s grander than it is.

If you have ever seen a memory in your mind, if you’ve ever visualized a scenario from the past or future, you can see a Gatekeeper Guide appear in this ‘memory/imagination’ space of your mind too.

With your eyes closed, you might see a whole form, just a face or sense the idea of what this guide looks like. Maybe you’ll see only the arms this time, and next time, you’ll see more of this person. They will usually reveal themselves to you, more and more, visually, spiritually and feeling wise, in time.

4. Finally, state your boundaries

You have asked for a Gatekeeper Guide because you need help navigating the Spiritual world. Internally, within your mind, tell your guide what you need from them.

Who should they keep out and let in? When? It’s your club, tell them how you want it run and managed.

Make sure your guide knows who is and is not allowed inside the gates of your life. These are called boundaries, and you can set them with your Gatekeeper Guide.

If you are already a practicing medium, Gatekeeper Guides can also help the Spirits coming through line up in order, encourage them not to talk over one another and help you sort out which spirits come to your sessions - as they work only with the highest energy and Light energy Spirits who have crossed.

You’ll notice an improvement in your sessions right away when working with a gatekeeper consciously.

Gatekeeper Guides can step forward whenever you feel like there is a Spirit around and you’d rather not deal with it, or they're bothering you, or there are too many spirits, whenever you're not sure how to discern who is who.

They can step forward and ask this Spirit to back off your space. They’re like professional bodyguards.

They are also your agents, deciding who can connect with you and when. They can also help you determine who, in your human world and the Spiritual world, are the best people for you to connect with.

And that’s it! Did you get a name? An appearance?

Everything about how a Spirit Guide appears is symbolic of their role in your life and every Spirit Guide is connected to an aspect of the self.

So however one appears for you, it also means that many of these qualities are also present inside yourself and they are simply presenting themselves to bring all of this to the forefront and to show you your strength.

While it’s so variable the appearance of a Gatekeeper Guide, many of my clients have seen them as calm, stoic type guides, usually indigenous to the heritage of the person or the heritage of the land on which said person currently resides.

If it’s the latter it’s considered a welcome blessing when the former an honor.
