How To Get An Affirmed Visitation After A Mother Passes
Updated 2021.12.08
Question:
Hello Amanda,
I have always been drawn towards spirituality since my childhood.
One of the main reasons might be my mother who was a spiritual lady.
I have lost my mother last year and ever since there is a great void. Sometimes I feel I can connect with her in my dreams but I am not sure what to believe. I need some affirmation that she is indeed there and that death is not the end of everything. I am at a loss and I don't know whom to trust. I always wanted to develop my intuitive abilities but don't know the right path.
What should I do?
Thank you and Regards,
N
Answer:
Hi N -
Your mother can still see you in The Spirit World, which is only a few feet off the ground hovering over the physical. You may be able to see her too, clairvoyantly, and sense her presence.
It's likely that she's still around you and does visit, but death changes everything. Including the way she's going to be communicating with you now that she's in the afterlife.
I would suggest reading some articles on the blog about connecting with her presence to get you familiar with the process.
Start with this one on how to sense a loved one if you haven't already.
Then, check out a field in academia called Grief Management and Recovery which now has an emerging topic of study called Continuing Bonds.
This is another field that is now embracing the philosophy of the continuation of connection between souls that have parted and talking about it quite openly. Learn more about it here on What's Your Grief or here on AfterTalk << these links will take you to external sites.
Grief can prevent sensing Spirit, so it is important to move through the process.
Then, check out the eBook on my site called From Crossing Over to Connection, which talks about all of this with an add-on meditation to help one start learning how to sense her presence. Working with the knowledge in both those things would give you plenty of the affirmation you need!
Also, many people feel and sense their loved ones present first, before ever seeing them in a dream, sometimes starting within just the first few days after their death (see article: What Happens To The Soul After Sudden Death: What To Expect).
So if she has visited you, remember: it may be through sensation first, rather than through dream, vision or apparition. For some it is vice versa and you don’t have to be an active clairvoyant to see her, check out this post for how you can see her: How To See Spirits.
Everything is possible with love and love transcends the physical realm, validation usually just depends on knowing what to look for, and clearing the fog of grief from your energy field so you can sense her when she is there.
