Being a shaman is being a conduit for light.

Shamanism and all other forms of energy work, including Reiki, are methods of channeling Divine Light and Energy through yourself to another person to deliver vibrational energy areas that need to be addressed at any time.

Any act of transferring any aspect of the Divine - messages, Light, energy, whatever - is a form of mediumship. You are a medium between the Divine and another person.

Shamanism, Reiki and other forms of Energy Services are also known as Healing Mediumship.

For many, Reiki - whether you send or receive - is considered a gateway to spiritual opening and development. Many message mediums, I know personally, start and continue to practice Reiki.

If you’ve ever taken a Reiki class or received a Reiki treatment, the practitioner prepares for a session with a visualization meditation that includes imagining light and alignment symbols travel down from a Divine Light portal and above, through the Crown Chakra, down through the chest and out through the hands.

In fact, before I became trained as a message medium (the type you imagine when you think ‘medium’), I was trained as an energy medium - in Reiki and Shamanic Journeying.

In that training, I noticed lots of similarities between the way I now connect for a session and how many energy service providers I know open the flow of Divine Light for their sessions. So many similarities, in fact - the preparation is actually about the same.

Opening the flow of energy from the Divine is one process, and the way the energy moves through and exits your body is only a shift the way the energy is delivered.

The only difference between message mediumship and the energy channeling version of mediumship is where the Divine Light and Information we channel exits the body of the medium:

In Healing Mediumship (also known as energy channeling), Divine Light is channeled through the crown and exits through the hands

In Message Mediumship, Divine Light is channeled through the crown and exits through the mouth

So, let’s move beyond the stereotype of what a medium has to be or do.

Mediumship is the act of giving and receiving Divine light.

At the end of the day, this is all mediumship boils down to - acting as a conduit for Source. For Spirit. For Universal Intelligence. For Light.

There are many methods of receiving and modalities to delivering source information.

A medium is only a conduit, a transfer of energy between two realms, two individuals, or two groups of individuals. It’s the central link. The golden chain connector is you, the difference is only if the energy that’s channeled gets then transferred to words, external light, or other physical manifestations.

If you’re using your body, your intuition and your Spirit to spiritual alignment through the use of energy, Divine Light or Shamanistic Journeying - you’re connecting.
