The Spiritual Law of Reflection
Updated 2022.06.18
The law of reflection is a concept from the field of natural sciences that states:
The angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence where the incident ray, the reflected ray, and the mirror, which both reflect off, all lie in the same plane. Both angles are measured with respect to the mirror.
This law is used and cited throughout spiritual circles, mainly to draw the point that anything that resides in you is merely back-reflected to you in others.
The only caveat to this law, is that this law, like all science laws, it exists in perfection only in laboratory settings where everything is set just so.
As we know in the natural world, or as some scientists call it, in the field, almost no condition you find in the wild exists entirely the way it would in perfection in the laboratory.
What I'm saying is the Spiritual Law of Reflection is not an exact situation that works perfectly in nature.
However, still, you can use it to improve your life and bring blessings to you and your family, and it's fun to play with because you do often get results.
And anything where I get feedback, I like to share.
The way I apply this law is
To think of the person in question, usually you, as the incident ray
All the rest of the universe's beings in your influenceable area as potential reflection rays
And the mirror as the base environment where the incident and the reflection rays are currently operating
The best way to work with the Spiritual Law of Reflection is to focus on sending good vibes out there, also known as positive energy.
Positive energy can be any energy, thought, or emotion that you carry, project and act upon to bring solace to all, including you, such as love, enthusiasm, confidence, motivation, or joy.
By sending positive energy out there, you can expect to receive positive energy reflected back to you.
Though in the natural world, this may come back to you in an imperfect way, and it may have imperfect, however tangible results, even if you do it for a while.
This is all right because imperfect is beautiful, and it leaves room for many happy surprises.
A beautiful example of how the law of reflection can work perfectly-imperfectly
Imagine you put positive energy out there, by setting up a bird feeder in your yard for a particular bird to come by.
That bird happens not to be around, so a gang of other birds shows up.
That gang of other birds is spotted by a rare migratory bird flying through that you didn't even consider, and it says to itself, "Wow, that place looks safe, look at all those peaceful birds hanging out, I'll stop by."
Before you know it, you have rare migratory birds arrive, that both surprise and delight you, all because you were hoping to catch the one with your single act of positivity.
This is an example of the imperfect way the Spiritual Law of Reflection can work.
You can send the energy you want to be reflected back to you out into the world.
But you can't always control who responds or reflects the signal you sent out, because again, this is the natural world, and there are far more variables.
Thankfully, it can be a good thing that you don’t get exactly what you expected, because you’ll be surprised and potentially delighted even more.
By sending any wavelength out there, through energy or physical action, you receive a reflection of that wavelength back, however imperfect and delightful it may be.
You can see the way this works in internet searches, in thought matching, and in many more places.
How To Practice The Law of Reflection In 7 Steps
Think about the wavelength, idea, or concept you want to be reflected to you. Just focus on one wavelength or idea for now.
Give it a color such as pink, for love. Imagine yourself surrounded by it.
Call that color to you by visualizing it in meditations, using items colored with that wavelength of light, or by incorporating it into your creative projects.
Now that you're enmeshed in the light you want to reflect, you'll naturally start to begin to act in that wavelength characteristic.
Wait for magical things to happen.
Continue along your path as they do.
Smile and share your results. I normally don’t tell people to smile, but you will most likely be smiling after doing this continually for a couple of months.
How to make the most of the law of reflection
In the first five minutes of the day, think of the energy you want to call in, and visualize it as a color wrapping around you.
Use the same color for a week or you can also rotate between wavelengths or different positive thoughts, emotions, or ideas you want to strengthen in your experience every day.
My favorite way to build this reflection energy is to focus on one area or idea for 4-6 weeks and then move onto the next, but I've tried it each of these ways.
And there's only one final rule to get this to work in the natural world:
Be open to more than one angle of reflection coming back to you and be prepared to be surprised on who or what group picks up on and returns your signals.
It may not be the intended group you set out to receive from, and this is where miracles and surprises happen. Just be open and be willing to be surprised as to how or who returns your reflected rays.
In every scenario you're in, the mirror (the base environment you're in) is going to be different, so how the reflected energy appears may look different to you in different environments.
So when practicing the law of reflection, I encourage a solid sense of humor and openness and a willingness to be surprised.
How much time can it take to work?
I recommend giving it about a month to see preliminary feedback, though you may start to see the waves return to you within minutes or the same day.
Light works in wave patterns, so those closest in your circle may be most responsive first, and those farther out, it could take anywhere between 6 months to 2 years before they feel it/it hits the masses.
This is a great exercise to try for the first 10 to 12 days of the New Year, during a rising moon cycle, or for amplifying manifestations.
If negativity is coming back to you, rest assured, it may be another matter at play. For example, it could be related to what’s on the mirror, aka, in the environment, or it could be a fear coming out to be cleared. Give it time.
Pay more attention to where your desired energy is being returned.
Stay positive, and if you see even the smallest results, keep going.
The Spiritual Law of Reflection, when used with positive vibrations in mind, can make your life more enjoyable, fun and loving.
It can draw to you, however imperfectly, anything you’d like to bring in, which can make time on earth a little more playful, exciting and entertaining.
