On March 7, 2023, Saturn entered Pisces, where it will stay for almost 3 years, until February 13, 2026.

Saturn takes 27-29 years to cycle the zodiac and the last time it was in Pisces was between 1993-1996. Saturn just left Aquarius, where it has been since the start of the pandemic.

Aquarius is a progressive, humanitarian, creative sign. It asks you to align to the greater good and eliminate outdated modalities that no longer serve you. Aquarius is also all about connecting with others in the community to create positive change.

During the pandemic, numerous structural changes occurred regarding how we connect and communicate with each other.

We also saw many humanitarian efforts take place to help people affected by the pandemic, as well as many people changing their jobs; perhaps some of these jobs were outdated modalities.

Saturn is a planet of action, achievement, discipline, structure and order. It oversees rules and regulations. It brings situations to maturity. It’s the planet of tangible form, and without Saturn, nothing would be created.

This is the first major move Saturn has made since COVID and when it moves into a zodiac sign, it merges with the properties of that sign to bring new structures, orders and actions.

When Saturn enters a new sign, this is different from the “Saturn Return,” which is when Saturn returns to the exact placement on your chart that it was when you were born.

Saturn Returns are more personal. Most of us have our first Saturn Return at 27-29 years old, and as the Great Teacher, Saturn helps you mature.

A Saturn Return closes one chapter and opens the next. It’s a time when the fun and games of youth now must make way for the greater version of who you are.

Comparatively, when Saturn visits a certain zodiac sign, everyone can benefit and notice the changes it brings, since each sign governs personal as well as societal concepts.

As the planet of tenacity, ambition, and achievement, Saturn teaches the value of patience and sacrifice.

It’s now in Pisces, a mutable water sign that represents the realm of dreams and interconnected consciousness. Pisces governs empathy, intuition, mysticism, compassion, openness and emotions.

Here are 4 benefits of Saturn in Pisces:

Your dreams can become reality

During the transit, the Planet of Reality dips into the zodiac sign of Dreams. What this means is that your dreams can become reality during this transit.

Be intentional with what you’re wishing for. Saturn likes to turn things into tangible form, so you may see during the next few years that your wishes do become realities.

You may also experience delays related to your dreams; however, do not fret - Saturn slows things down to ensure a strong system is set into place to build a sturdy foundation in this area. To make headway on your dreams during this transit, it will take discipline and work on your end to make it happen.

Both Saturn and Pisces are fans of sacrifice. Saturn holds out for the big win, and Pisces often wants to take on the suffering of others. Together they increase your resolve behind reaching your dreams.

Increased intuition and emotional intelligence

Saturn likes order, system and focus, where Pisces is very intuitively and emotionally in touch.

During this transit, you may see an increase in your intuitive intelligence and an increase in your ability to systematically process your emotions.

You may notice your ability to use your intuition with others is heightened.

You could become more intentional about putting systems in place to access that side of your wisdom - for example, finally committing to that mindfulness routine.

Saturn in Pisces gives you a bit more mind over matter power, so your emotional resilience increases and you’ll be more equipped to get through any emotional challenges you face.

Pisces also puts emphasis on positive personal transformations that start in the subconscious.

Because Saturn celebrates achievements and discipline, your inner growth journey becomes a deeper commitment and that inner growth you’ve been doing becomes recognized by others.

A commitment to stronger boundaries

Pisces is a sign that is known to have an open, go with the flow mentality. Pisceans are also willing to empathically and compassionately connect with anyone and any cause they see virtue in.

Saturn, however, is a taskmaster that is focused on strong walls and boundaries, so what you will see during this transit is greater structures related to how you want to give your caring energy.

Saturn will help you identify your boundaries so you can discern where you want your walls to be in regards to giving your empathy and compassion to the outside world.

Saturn is a serious planet of commitment and boundaries, so its presence will also encourage you to get intentional about what your goals are so you can prioritize and focus on them. Saturn will help create structures in the loose gaps of our community, the emotional and subscious ties that link us all together.

This can help shape our collective story, and develop systems for us to better care for each other.

Frameworks for new ideologies are set

Pisces is a mutable sign that focuses on idealism; it often encourages you to question your personal truths and consider what would be possible in an “ideal” world.

You may question societal narratives or what is the truth for you now, and decide on new beliefs.

Saturn in Pisces will have you explore your personal philosophies to put new systems in place that support those new ideals.

When Saturn is in Pisces, you may see new ideologies come forward that lead to new structures in areas that support innovation like technology, pharmaceuticals and media.

The 4 major lessons of Saturn in Pisces are:

  1. Give attention to your hopes and dreams

  2. Learn to trust your intuition and heighten your emotional IQ

  3. Make a commitment to your personal boundaries

  4. Create space to develop your personal ideals

By the end of the transit, you’ll feel much more grounded and have a structure in place to make your hopes and dreams real.

You may find yourself wanting to stick to a schedule, making policies and keeping them, and having better boundaries around work and personal life. You’ll be more in touch with your inner world and intuition, and have systems in place to better access that side of yourself.

Societally, you may notice new systems emerging that better support the ideals of our current culture, along with the frameworks to bring some of those principles into form.
